The Acadiana Educational Endowment, the creator and sponsor of CajunFun.com, respects the privacy of every individual who visits our web site or contacts us via e-mail. We have never, and will never, divulge this information to outside parties. This policy will tell you what kinds of information we may have, and how we intend to use it. This policy will also instruct you on what to do if you feel we have information about you that you want deleted from our records.

Personal Information

We do not collect any personal information about you (such as your name, address, telephone number, or email address) unless you provide it to us voluntarily. The following are the only ways that we collect personal information.

Voting in our Restaurant Guide requires us to validate your e-mail. The reason for this is to restrict votes to one per person, so that we might keep vote as honest as possible.

Our User Submission Form requires us to have contact information about you. This is necessary for us to validate event information before we put it online. We may need to verify times, dates, or locations. We need a contact person in order to keep our information accurate. We may e-mail the contact person periodically, to request information on other events within their organization.

If you request to be added to the fax version of CajunFun.com, we ask for personal information such as your name and fax number. This information is not kept on a server that is attached to the Web. It is kept offline. We keep this information only for the fax service.

When you e-mail us, we have your e-mail address. This address may be kept in our records for future reference, and if you identify yourself as being involved with any activities of interest to the general public, we may contact you to request further/ongoing information for that activity.

Other Information Collected Automatically

In some cases, we may collect information about you that does not tell us your identity, such as what browser software you are using, what type of computer operating system you are using and which CajunFun.com pages you are downloading. This information is only used internally to make decisions about our Web site.

We do not use any "cookies" on this Web site, nor do we store any data on your system. (Cookies are small pieces of data that a computer searching the Web may accept or refuse, that allow for identification of visitors moving from page to page. They are particularly important for maintaining continuity on shopping and other websites, to verify who is sending and receiving the information.)

Children

We do not intend to collect any personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. We ask children not to submit any such information on our Web site, unless they have the permission of a parent or guardian. If a child has provided us with any personal information without said permission, a parent or guardian of that child should contact us to have this information deleted. We will have this information removed as soon as humanly possible.
